“Pretty Soon” was written in 1979 during a very difficult time in my life when my mother was transitioning from cancer. She was a pianist and as her caretaker my mother was a profound musical influence in my life. I consulted with her while writing this song. She would offer her advice and was very supportive, giving me a “yeah” and a “nay” when needed. I was able to complete this song and she was able to listen to the complete song before she transitioned. So, I consider this song as being co-written with my mother – Leola. It is simply a love song. ENJOY!
